This page contains four of the many stages involved in completely

re-upholstering a deep buttoned chesterfield.

Stage One: The back and arms are resprung, stuffed with fibre and covered with hessian.

 

Stage Two: All of the button holes are marked out and then the holes are created in the fibre.

 

Stage Three: The top stuffing is put over the hessian and the fabric is then pleated and buttoned.

 

Stage Four: The completed chesterfield with seat replaced and new feather cushions.
